Summer’s over and I need a nap

Weekly Newsletter

Let’s talk honestly about life, faith, and chronic illness.

Hey Reader,

Anyone else feel like summer “vacation” was anything but restful? I swear my body thinks it just ran a marathon… and all I did was survive July.

If I’m being honest, I went into summer with plans. Plans for fun, connection, maybe even a little productivity. Instead, my energy was like a toddler with scissors — unpredictable, messy, and a little dangerous to my sanity.

Now here we are, staring at the start of a new season, and I’m realizing something: If I want to actually make it through fall, I can’t run into it already burnt out.

That means giving myself permission to ease back into routines instead of diving headfirst. It means naps without guilt. It means letting my to-do list be… unfinished. And it means remembering that pacing isn’t falling behind — it’s choosing to last.

If your body’s screaming “slow down” right now, this is your permission slip. You are not lazy for needing rest. You’re wise for taking it.

💌 If you need a little help easing into this next season, my Rest & Refocus Workbook is waiting for you. It’s not about overhauling your life — it’s about making space for what matters.
